The DST Media Cell reaches out to a range of audiences through multiple media about the achievements and activities of DST which is the nodal agency for science and technology in the country, it's autonomous institutions as well as the numerous organizations it supports.  

As the communication unit of the nodal agency it gives a reflection of how science is being conducted in the country, the benefits it is bringing to the people through the various programmes and schemes supported by the department, the policies and guidelines that are steering science and the transformations that are being brought about. The media cell reaches out to the people primarily through print, digital, social and electronic media. 

The DST Media cell also brings out a monthly newsletter – ‘STRIDES’ highlighting the S&T research development stories along with event, activities, policies and also features DST’s S&T institutions and work of their scientists which reaches out to a wide range of stakeholders including scientists, policymakers and general public.
